I’m so sorry this chapter took forever to come out. My game issues are now fixed, and it took weeks to figure out. From now on I’m going to be paranoid every time a new patch comes out since that’s what caused all the chaos in my games. I tried my best to make the world look the same, but I’m still missing a lot of CC, and a lot of the houses I had as well. Some of the characters might look a little different as well, as some of my custom skins, hairs, makeup, ect items are still missing. The only save file I could manage to de-crapify was from when Cole was still a teenager so I manually had to age everyone up and give them extensive makeovers, Since Isabella didn’t exist back then, she was made from scratch, and I hope she looks enough like she used too, to pass muster.
I also had said that I would re-do the first couple chapters. Although I did do the first chapter, that’s going to be it I’m afraid. The save I had going with Lucy was lost, and all my sims erased from the sin bin, and I have no desire to recreate her from scratch, so the old chapters will just have to stay the way they are.
This chapter is rated R, for adult content.
I opened my eyes and stretched, the bright light streaming in through the windows making me wince. I didn’t get much sleep last night. I thought about Isabella and wondered why she wasn’t taking my calls. I had left her a million messages on her voice mail, and she hadn’t returned a single one of them. I buried my head in my hands and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. Worry chewed at my gut, I was worried about her. What if something happened to her?
I stood up and paced around my room anxiously. Isabella was fine, if something had happened, I would have heard about it, She probably came to the realization that I was a loser, and she could do so much better than me. My face flushed hotly.
“Morning Cole. Happy Love day.” Cordelia said from the couch looking up as I walked in. I groaned inwardly.
“Thanks.” I said simply, sitting down on the couch next to my cousin.
“Have you heard from Isabella yet?” She asked.
I blew out my breath angrily. “Hell no.” I about shouted. “I have a feeling that this is her way of telling me to piss off.”
“I doubt that Cole, you said she had a lot to deal with, and I’m sure she’s just been busy. I’m sure you will hear something from her soon.”
“Yeah I doubt that…” I said. “So do you have any plans tonight?” I said changing the subject.
Cordelia grinned, a love struck look crossing her face making me feel like gagging or punching the wall. “Max is cooking me dinner tonight, Its going to be amazing, and romantic.” She sighed blissfully.
“Sounds nice.” I said lamely wishing I could feel happy for my cousin, but I just felt nothing, but loneliness.
Suddenly Max thundered down the stairs humming a happy tune, when he rounded the corner he scooped up Cordelia off the couch and planted a kiss on her mouth.
“Happy Love day.” Max said pulling out a bouquet of red roses from behind his back. Cordelia squealed. “Oh they are beautiful Max, thank you!”
“Do you mind guys, I’m trying to watch tv and wallow in my own misery here..” I said dryly, trying my best to ignore them as they made out in front of me.
They ignored me.
I rolled my eyes, “I’m going to go drink a gallon of bleach, and tie the vacuum cord around my neck and jump, don’t worry about me.” I said sarcastically. I felt a flush of anger as they ignored me. I really hated Love Day, and watching everyone I knew spend the day with the one they loved.
“Ugh whatever. I’m going for a walk.” I said standing up, and headed to my room to get dressed.
I took off at a brisk angry pace, heading toward town, and wondered if the bars were open this early. A slight drizzle overhead made my mood sink lower, and I didn’t own an umbrella, and there was no way in hell I was going back home to watch the two love birds go at it. I would find a bar, and drown my sorrows in a glass of whiskey.
As I walked by the park, I was once again reminded like a slap across the face that it was Love Day. The entire park was decorated in red and pink balloons, and everywhere I looked happy couples strolled arm and arm together.
“Hey handsome, Want to give me a kiss, its only a dollar and all the money goes to charity.” The kissing booth attendant said behind me. I frowned. That was the last straw. Now I would have to actually pay someone to kiss me on love day. Wasn’t that just the kicker to an already shitty day?
Giving the kissing booth attendant an evil glare I walked away quickly to find the nearest bar. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of blond hair. Could it be? No way. I watched her run in the other direction like she was avoiding me. I recognized those boots she was wearing. She wore them when I was in Appoloosa Plains visiting her. It was Isabella. What the hell was she doing here?
“Isabella!” I yelled. I watched her freeze and totally turn around. Her violet eyes were wide and shocked looking, probably was as surprised to see me as I was to her. Why was she in Morreaux? And why didn’t she tell me she was here?
“What are you doing here?” I asked, even though my heart felt wounded, it was good to see her. Her shoulders stiffened, and she looked like she wanted to run. “You at least owe me an explanation.” I said quickly. “When I left Appoloosa plains everything was great–wonderful even. And then you ignore my phone calls, and you show up here without a word. What the hell is going on?”
“You’re the one that deserves an explanation?” Isabella said stiffly. “I think maybe you should tell me about your girlfriend.” She crossed her arms across her chest and glared at me with a stony expression. “You know, the one I saw you with down by the river the other day.”
What the hell, I thought, suddenly it dawned on me. Jewell. I laughed out loud. She glared at me. “Jewell isn’t my girlfriend, she is a friend.” I said looking at Isabella earnestly. “We had a little fling when you moved away and I had no idea if I’d ever see you again. It had been months, and I got your letter. After that I broke it off with Jewell, because I realized I still had feelings for you. There was nothing really between us. We were better off as friends. That’s it, I promise. When you saw us by the river, that was me telling her that I was in love with someone else. You.”
“Oh Cole…” Isabella whispered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. “I’m so sorry. I should have given you a chance to explain yourself instead of jumping to conclusions. Can you forgive me?”
She looked at me hopefully her violet eyes full of unshed tears.
“Does this answer your question?” I said huskily, and kissed her gently.
She pulled back slightly in shock, her eyes wide.
Isabella grabbed me around the waist and pulled me close. Our lips met in a crushing embrace, her mouth hot on mine, our tongues mingled together, completely oblivious of the people that walked around us.
Just then the sky opened up, and the slight drizzle turned into a torrential downpour. I grabbed Isabella by the arm “Lets get out of here,” I whispered in her ear.
I had forgotten that Max and Cordelia had there Love Day dinner tonight. I felt bad for bringing company over when they had plans. Funny how when the day started I hated the thought of Love Day, now Isabella and I were together, I was excited about spending this day with her.
“Hey Cordelia, I’m sorry for crashing on your date with Max, Isabella and I are going to hang out upstairs and get out of your way.” I offered.
“It’s great to meet you Isabella, I heard a lot of great things about you.” My cousin said kindly from the couch, she looked pretty in a red strapless dress.
“It’s nice to meet you too.” Isabella said shyly shifting her weight back and forth on each foot. I found her shyness endearing and refreshing.
“Yo Cole, come here for a minute.” Max said from the other room.
Max was cooking when I walked in the kitchen, something I’d never seen him do for another woman before since I’ve known him. He must really have feelings for my cousin, I thought. “Whats up man?” I asked snagging a tomato off the salad plate and popping it in my mouth. Max slapped my arm away and laughed.
“I want to run something by you. I’m going to ask Cordelia to marry me tonight.”
My eyes bulged. “Your asking my permission?”
“No, I talked to her dad today, asked his permission, I’m just telling you my intentions, I guess I thought it was the right thing to do.”
“Wow, man, that’s great, I guess congrats are in order.” We slapped hands, and went in for the man hug, and laughed.
“Thanks, I hope she doesn’t say no.” Max laughed.
“Are you kidding me? She wont say no.” I promised.
“So how did it go with Uncle Aaron?” I asked.
“Surprisingly well, although I can’t say the same for Cordelia’s mom. She looked at me like I had just asked to make Cordelia a blood sacrifice at my cult chapter meeting, instead of asking for her daughters hand in marriage, anyway she’ll end up liking me one day.” He winked. “I have a way with the ladies.”
“Well there will be plenty to eat, why don’t you and Isabella join us for dinner, I could use the moral support, and I know Cordelia wont mind.”
“Sounds good man, thanks.” I said.
Dinner was great. Max was a man of many talents evidently and cooking was one of them. Before desert Max stood up and cleared his throat. A look of fright, and nervousness crossed his normally confident face.
“I’d like to make a toast.”
“Cordelia Gallagher, I know we haven’t been together that long, but we’ve known each other for 2 years. We have fought, loved and laughed together. You used to call me a pig, and I used to call you a frigid bitch.” Max laughed, and Cordelia rolled her eyes, but laughed too.
“There is nobody else on this earth I’d rather spend the rest of my life with.” Max said huskily.
Suddenly he dropped to one knee and pulled a ring out of his back pocket. “Cordelia Gallagher, will you marry me?”
Isabella, Max and I watched with bated breath as Cordelia froze, her dark eyes wide with shock. Finally a grin a mile wide spread across her pretty features and she launched herself into Max’s arms. “Of course I’ll marry you!” She yelled.
“We should give them some privacy.” Isabella whispered leaning in close, her breath sent ripples of pleasure down my neck.
“Congrats you two.” I said and Isabella and I hurried up the stairs to my room.
When we got upstairs and shut the door Isabella attacked. Her mouth crushed against mine. I ran my hands up and down her side, finally skimming them up her dress and pulling her dress off. It dropped to the floor and puddled around her ankles.
We kissed, holding each other tightly as we made our way across the room. I sat on the edge of the bed, and she leaned over me, one leg straddled me while the other rested between my legs.
“Is this ok?” I asked as we rolled onto the bed or bodies pressed tightly together. She stared into my eyes and kissed me gently. That was all the invitation I needed. I peeled off the remaining scraps of cloth from her smooth skin, and she returned the favor….
When it was over we lay together. There was no need for words, I don’t think I could manage forming a sentence anyways. I kissed the back of her neck, and she groaned softly into the pillow.
“I love you…” I whispered kissing her neck once more.
“I love you too.”
